Origins

Two posts and it's not even lunch time yet!

I have a little bit of spare time in between watching Friends in my pj's all day and working through my university assignments so I thought I'd squeeze in a bit of time for this blog seeing as I've promised myself to keep at it!

I've wanted to write up this post for a little while now because it's about pretty amazing stuff! Origins.

"Our mission at Origins is to create high-performance natural skin care that is powered by nature and proven by science."

If you're not aware of the skincare Origins offers I suggest you have a read of their website, really great stuff.  Over a month ago I purchased my first two products from Origins;

Top seller GinZing- a refreshing eye cream to brighten and depuff

I suffer from really bad under eye circles, which has really only become a problem for me in the last 6 months. I've tried so many eye creams that promise amazing results and every time I find myself wasting my money and actually worsening my under eye problem. This Origins product was £21.00 and was admittedly the most I have spent on a eye cream of its size! It's very small but I have been using this every day for the over a month now and it still looks brand new! You only need a small layer of the stuff like any eye cream and this honestly works wonders! I would say its quite a thick consistency but if you still to the recommended amount it suddenly becomes very thin and light!  I understand that my dark circles will never completely disappear but controlling and soothing them with a product like this- I am happy with that.

and Clean Energy- a gentle cleansing oil.

If you live in the UK then you will be familiar with the awful cold weather we are having at the moment. My worst nightmare FYI. I really have a lot of beef with cold, miserable weather. But anyway, because of this my skin is dryer than usual so I turned to this cleansing oil! First things first, it smells amazing! Personal opinion, but I love it. This picture was taken recently and as I said before I have been using both product continuously for well over a month, so you can see that a little really does go a long way! This product is £19 and makes my skin feel refreshed and so so smooth after I use it. I generally use this before bed as I don't have the time to use it in the mornings and having a layer of oil on my skin doesn't do my make up any good- just slips right off!

Really happy with my products, but particularly how long they last. I know I have only them for over a month, but when I say I have been using them religiously-I really have! I ordered a moisturizer the other day (fingers crossed the lovely postman will bring me it today) and I'm so excited to use that as I have read raving reviews.

Happy Saturday x

Back To Bangles

I'm a bit of a 'phase' kind of girl, so I tend to move from one hype to another in most parts of my life- whether it's music, make up, fashion, or whatever. When I say hype I actually mean my own made up hypes, rather than a hype followed by every other 19 year old girl! However, others may agree with this post.

I thought I'd share my love for bangles! I am recently loving them and the reason why I have named this post 'back to bangles' is simply because I was once a bangle lover back in the day. It's really funny how certain things you used to wear reappear in your life a couple of years later- for me, denim jackets, body warmers, white jeans, and bangles- to name a few.

When I was introduced to the world of accessories by an old friend, chunky bangles were very much in fashion and every girl in my school began to wear them! This time round however, I am loving dainty bangles with a kind of statement center piece like the ones below. ASOS is such a great place to buy these kind of bangles and as per usual I found one I really loved- but they had sold out. This always happens to me!

GOLD ASOS 'LOVE' SKINNY TORQUE BANGLE

Que eBay. This is a bit of a routine for me. If somewhere has sold out of a particular item I had my eyes on, my fingers automatically type in eBay into my search bar. And on the first page I found the item I wanted- brand new!

ASOS do sell some similar ones to this, which I think I'll end up buying at some point! I think they'll be lovely to wear in both Spring and Summer. I love accessories but in sweaty weather there's nothing worse than wearing tons of chunky and larger bracelets and rings- admittedly I still do this whatever the weather! But I'm thinking these dainty bracelets will be making a number of appearances this Spring/Summer- even if here in the UK we get neither of this seasons. Fingers crossed we will..

Red Carpet

So I've finally caught up on The Oscars from last night and I am so so glad that Jennifer Lawrence won the award for Best Actress as I really love her. She keeps finding herself in awkward situations though that actually make me love her more! Her dress ripping at the SAG Awards in January and now falling up the stairs to get her award- really reminds me of my clumsiness.

Personally I had two best dressed who stood out on yesterdays Red Carpet. And of course I have chosen Jennifer! I love everything about this. Her hair, make-up, everything.

Amanda Seyfried representing pale skin like myself! Personally I wouldn't pair this colour dress with such a pale skin tone but she really works it every time I see her.

I must admit I wasn't too thrilled with the male attire on the Red Carpet at this years Academy Awards. However! I was searching images of Miranda Kerr as I knew she attended an after party because of her posts on Instagram and I saw her beautiful husband! They both rocked it at the Vanity Fair Oscar party. Miranda never fails to impress me.

Brave

Ok. I've been thinking long and hard about this blog and future content so I think I'm going to go with the flow from now on- this is the plan! I've been so anxious about writing a blog for some strange reason but I think it's about time I grow up and worry less about content, readership and all of that nonsense because I want and need to start writing more and a blog seems like a good place to start.
